Miami is no stranger to branded residences. A handful of fashion houses and luxury labels have bestowed their names on sky-grazing towers that will soon grace the South Florida coastline. And now, the vibrant fashion house Missoni is joining the group with Missoni Baia — the first residential collection from Italy’s “first family of fashion”— and Mansion Global has an exclusive look at the interiors.
Set in Miami’s up-and-coming Edgewater neighborhood, the 57-story tower will sit on 200 feet of waterfront on Biscayne Bay. The building will consist of 146 residences — with only three units per floor – ranging from two to four bedrooms. There will be three duplex apartments with expansive terraces, in addition to two duplex penthouses with private plunge pools and glass-enclosed staircases.
The building’s interior design will reflect the colorful palette that has become Missoni’s trademark, and will include items from the brand’s home collection. This signature style will extend to the amenities, including a deck with cabanas and five swimming pools.
Australian designer Paris Forino, whose firm is behind the interiors of Manhattan’s 389 E. 89 and Steiner East Village condominiums, will be designing the residences. Elevators will open directly to the apartments, which will feature a neutral palette and deep, shaded terraces with views of Biscayne Bay.The condominium is being developed by OKO Group, the Miami-based property development firm founded by Russian real estate mogul, Vladislav Doronin, who’s also the owner of luxury hotel operator, Aman. Missoni Baia is one of three luxury condo projects Doronin plans to build in South Florida.The Wall Street Journal reports that OKO will sell units for an average cost of $900 a square foot.
